Bio

Dan Greenwood is a Clinical Academic Pharmacist working between the NHS and academia. Having completed his PhD in the pharmacy workforce in 2020, he went on to help setup a new medical school. Dan’s teaching focus is prescribing and the use of medicines across the health professions. His research focuses on the developing roles of pharmacists and other healthcare professionals, the quality of care in hospitals and the community, and also medication use in urgent and emergency care. He has presented his work internationally and published extensively in leading pharmacy practice journals. Since 2021, Dan has been a member of the UK Joint Formulary Committee, which involves overseeing medicines use and guidance across the country. He also inspects Schools of Pharmacy for the General Pharmaceutical Council.
