Bio
Joe Harvey plans and manages work on high-voltage electricity transmission assets, helping to keep the lights on while ensuring world class safety. Joe is currently working on the delivery of the world’s largest offshore wind farm, providing the green energy vital to creating a clean, fair and affordable energy future.
As an advocate for innovation, Joe has worked within his sector to develop systems to improve operations and has supported sustainable development as a climate change ambassador. Passionate for people, Joe is experienced in representing colleagues within Trade Unions and company forums, along with acting as an ambassador for apprenticeships through his work for the Science Museum’s Technicians Gallery and within his local community.
Outside of Joe’s professional life, he is a keen outdoorsman, regularly hiking and camping throughout the UK. This stems from my his dedication to the Scouting movement, through which he runs weekly meetings as a Scout Leader for young people in his area.
