Havana Wellbelove is the Communications Officer, having joined the team in October 2023. In her role, she is responsible for maintaining the UK Young Academy’s website and managing its social media channels. Recently, she has focused on promoting the annual call for membership applications while coordinating activities with partner academies.
Originally from New Zealand, Havana spent several years working in government communications before moving to the UK. In these roles, she developed a wide range of communication materials in areas such as climate change, working closely with project teams and subject matter experts to help them engage meaningfully with their stakeholders.
Since moving to the UK nearly a year ago, Havana enjoys exploring new places and getting lost in a good book during her downtime.
