Professor of Sociology and Director of RACE.ED at the University of Edinburgh. Nasar is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh and the UK Academy of Social Sciences. His research focuses on the impacts of the pandemic on ethnic and racialised groups in the UK, and the governance and integration of migrants and refugees in Europe. He is a former member and elected Co-Chair of the Young Academy of Scotland. He is also a Trustee of the British Sociological Association and the Social Policy Association.
