Senior Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Physiology at Cardiff Metropolitan University and co-strategic lead for Cardiovascular Physiology in the Centre for Health, Activity and Wellbeing Research. Rachel’s research is focused on cardiovascular adaptation and control of the cardiovascular system, with the aim of addressing broader topics such as healthy ageing and using exercise as medicine. Since joining Cardiff Met in 2015, she has become an established member of the Athena Swan Strategic Action Team and is an advocate for lifelong physical activity and its associated benefits.
