The UK Young Academy opens its annual call for new membership applications
It’s that time again when the UK Young Academy invites applications for new members through an open call.
Are you an early-career professional passionate about driving change? Do you aspire to make a difference?
We are looking for driven and passionate individuals from a wide range of sectors to become members as we open our third round of applications. As a forum for talented emerging leaders, we connect individuals with like-minded peers, enabling them to leverage their expertise to create innovative solutions and share knowledge across sectors, both nationally and globally.
By joining, you will have the opportunity to shape critical agendas, lead interdisciplinary initiatives, and make a meaningful impact on society as part of an influential organisation. Our current members are already leading work programmes and initiatives in collaboration with external partners and organisations, aligning with the strategic priorities set out in our first year.

Diversity and inclusion is at the heart of the UK Young Academy’s activities. Our membership is open to individuals from all walks of life, including industry, business, charity, research and professional sectors – not just academia.
We see bringing together individuals from different backgrounds and areas of expertise as fundamental for achieving our mission and aims. Different perspectives are critical to creating meaningful conversations and valuable learning opportunities and our members collaborate across sectors to develop innovative ways to tackle the challenges the world is currently facing.
