Bio

Rhys is a clinical genetics doctor within London and an NIHR Academic Clinical Fellow at King’s College London. He currently works within The Ule Lab where his research focuses on using computational approaches to analyse genetic data to help diagnose and understand both rare and complex diseases. 

He previously undertook an Academic Clinical Fellowship in paediatrics with The Ryten Lab at UCL. He completed his medical studies at the University of Oxford, his MSc Paediatrics and Child Health at UCL, and the Academic Foundation Programme within Brighton.

He is a trustee for The McPin Foundation – a national charity which works to champion the role of lived experience in mental health research. He has previously been awarded the University of Oxford’s Vice Chancellor’s Social Impact Award for his work towards positive change and continues to take a keen interest in equitable access to both healthcare and education.
