Bio

Franck Courbon is the Founder & CEO of Ethicronics, a Cambridge-based scale-up pioneering low-level software for hardware assurance and trusted electronics in defence, datacentres, and other critical infrastructures. Under his leadership, Ethicronics has secured major InnovateUK and DASA funding, partnered with world leaders, engaged key hires and earned companies awards including the Franco-British Business Award – Small Business of the Year 2024 and Cambridge Business Weekly – Graduate Business of the Year 2024.

His career spans industry, academia, and entrepreneurship: from Gemalto Security Labs (now Thales-DIS) to a Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellowship at the University of Cambridge. He has recently been named Cybersecurity Influencer of the Year 2025 and Franco-British Young Leader 2025 and By-Fellow at Lucy Cavendish, University of Cambridge.

Dedicated to mentoring, responsible innovation, collaboration, transparency and impact, Franck is an active voice in shaping the future of UK science, technology, and policy.
