Bio
Dr Keri Wong is Associate Professor of Developmental Psychology at UCL and co-Director of the Centre for Education and Criminal Justice. She leads The Wong Lab to understand the causes of crime, youth mental health, health inequalities, and severe mental disorders like schizophrenia. She regularly reviews for journals and is guest Editor for the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Journal on a Special Issue looking at the role of the physical environment and children and young people’s psychosocial outcomes (2025). She has a keen interest in translating research knowledge into policy and practice. Keri is an UKRI ESRC Policy Fellow seconded to the UK Home Office and is the Academic Lead on the Home Office Safer Streets Mission Advisory Group (2024-). Keri also hosts UCL’s podcast Academia et al., a podcast exclusively for ECRs by ECRs, and represents UCL on the British Academy Early Career Researcher Network London Organising Committee.
