Bio
Tetiana Vodotyka is a Research Fellow at Durham University. She is a historian specialising in Ukrainian urban and economic history, memory studies, and entrepreneurship. She is the chief editor of ‘City: History, Culture, Society’, an urban studies e-journal she established in 2016. A prolific non-fiction author, her works include ‘The History of Everyday Life’ (2022) and ‘Success Stories’ (2020). Her research also explores history’s role in the Russo-Ukrainian War and recovering Ukraine’s military memory. Tetiana’s academic journey includes a BA, MA, and PhD in History from Ukraine’s prestigious institutions. She has earned recognition such as the Ukrainian Presidential Scholarship for young scientists.
Internationally, she held a fellowship at Georg-August University in Germany and is developing an MA program on urban development and post-war reconstruction at the Kyiv School of Economics. As a Council of At-Risk Academics (Cara) fellow, she researches the memory of entrepreneurship in Ukraine, tracing its evolution across centuries. Her work bridges history, memory, and societal transformation.
