Professor of Human Nutrition at the University of Glasgow, in the School of Medicine, Dentistry and Nursing. Emilie is currently a member of the Young Academy of Scotland and was co-chair there from 2020-2021. Her research focuses on the role of food and diet in lifelong health, with a particular interest in obesity, stress and their impact on health trajectories through life. She is also a Trustee for the Association for the Study of Obesity and Director of the European Nutrition Leadership Programme Advanced seminar.
