Bio

Chinagorom Ajike is a Senior Research Associate at the University of Cambridge and Country Partnerships Manager with the Centre for Global Equality, where he leads engagements and international collaborations across partner countries in the global south for the Climate Compatible Growth programme. He holds a PhD in Thermal Engineering and a Master’s in Public Policy, combining technical expertise with policy insights to help governments design pathways and mobilise finance for sustainable energy transitions.

His career spans academia, government, and civil society. He was a Research Fellow at the Oxford SDG Impact Lab, addressing global sustainability challenges, and served in government, contributing to infrastructure development and public service delivery.

Chinagorom is committed to advancing inclusive innovation and ensuring diverse perspectives shape climate‑compatible growth. Within the UK Young Academy, he aims to build interdisciplinary collaborations that strengthen the research-policy interface, enabling national and global responses to climate and equity challenges.
