Bio

Dr Khaleda Zaheer is the CEO and Co-Founder of Refugee Crisis Foundation, an international humanitarian organisation dedicated to improving refugee health through sustainable and locally led initiatives. With nearly a decade of experience, she has been at the forefront of enhancing health outcomes for vulnerable populations in refugee camps across Europe and Asia. Since 2018, she has led the largest oral healthcare programme and the only ear and hearing care service for Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh, the world’s largest refugee camp. Khaleda specialises in designing and implementing sustainable health programmes that integrate into existing systems, building local capacity, and advancing global health equity. She collaborates with international organisations, universities, and policymakers to develop evidence-based interventions and scale them for broader impact.
