Bio
Ramaa is an award-winning media leader, consultant, executive coach, and journalist with two decades of industry experience. She spent 17 years at the BBC as a Senior Digital Executive in News, where she led large-scale digital transformation, edited award-winning multimedia journalism projects, and developed strategic programmes for leadership boards, including a Race & Inclusion initiative for the BBC’s News Board. She also leads Inclusive Story AI, a project exploring how artificial intelligence can drive more inclusive journalism and mitigate bias.
Drawing on her leadership, media innovation, and coaching expertise, Ramaa now provides C-suite executive coaching, digital consultancy, inclusive AI literacy, and leadership training. She serves on the faculty of Oxford University’s Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism, delivering Inclusive leadership workshops and facilitating group coaching sessions. Most recently, she co-authored the Leading Newsroom Change report on Diversity & AI and presented a podcast series on “Authentic Leadership.”
