Bio
Sultan Ahmad Aria is a Ph.D. researcher in Politics at Manchester Metropolitan University. His research focuses on democratisation and political parties, with a particular emphasis on Afghanistan.
He earned his master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Mysore, India, in 2014 and his bachelor’s degree in Farsi Literature from Herat University, Afghanistan, in 2010.
Before pursuing his Ph.D., Mr. Aria worked as a lecturer in Political Science at several universities in Afghanistan for six years. He also held various positions, including project management and advocacy consultant roles, with national and international NGOs in Afghanistan for eight years.
He has authored several articles published in national and international media outlets and journals. As a political analyst, he has frequently appeared in media outlets in Afghanistan.
