Bio
Having studied Engineering, Economics & Management at Oxford University and an MBA at INSEAD, Abhay Soorya has had a very multi-faceted career spanning the Finance, Energy & Utilities, and Technology sectors. During the latter roles, Abhay developed a passion for using technology to combat emerging challenges such as climate change; in his current role, he expands the use and impact of artificial intelligence in industries of critical importance to economies. On a personal note, Abhay enjoys reading contemporary journalism and exercise, having competed extensively in various sporting disciplines and in debating. He works well in high-energy environments in which people dare to make a difference, and he is excited to be among the first cohort of members of the UK Young Academy, helping to set stage and shape to the Academy’s future workings.
