Bio

Kawita Sarwari holds a Master’s in TESOL from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, USA, and a PhD in TEFL from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Iran. She is currently pursuing a second PhD in Education at the University of Leeds. From 2012 to 2021, she worked as a lecturer in the English Department at Herat University, Afghanistan. In 2024, she was a visiting research assistant at the University of Leeds’ School of Education. Her research interests include TESOL/TEFL pedagogy, teaching large classes, technology integration in higher education, distance learning, and the role of AI in education.
