Bio

Born and raised in Nigeria, Henry is a Joint PhD researcher in Future Cities Engineering at the University of Edinburgh and the Urban Big Data Centre of the University of Glasgow. As an EU-funded Erasmus scholar, he received triple master’s degrees (Distinctions) in Urban Climate and Sustainability from Glasgow, Finland, and Spain.

Outside of research, Henry is passionate about empowering young people to tackle global challenges. Hence, he founded SustyClimate Hub – an online platform that shares opportunities in sustainability worldwide. As the only PhD selected on the UK Net-Zero Carbon Building Standard Committee, Henry contributed to discussions shaping net-zero strategies aligning with UK climate-goals. A recipient of numerous awards, including the British Council Japan/RENKEI Early Career Fellowship.

Henry is frequently invited to speak on panel discussions on climate change and youth engagement. In his leisure, he plays tennis and enjoys his passion for astronomy, either stargazing or supporting STEM initiatives.
