Bio

Hasan Maridi is a nuclear physicist and physics educator with experience in research and teaching across several countries. His research focuses on theoretical nuclear physics, particularly nuclear structure and reactions involving exotic and weakly bound nuclei.

He was a Cara Research Fellow at the University of Manchester and has since completed a PGCE in Secondary Physics with Mathematics from University of Manchester and gained Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). He is also a STEM Ambassador.

Hasan is passionate about science education, widening access to education, and supporting researchers and scholars whose careers have been disrupted by conflict or displacement. Through the UK Young Academy, he contributes to work on researchers at risk, science communication and inclusive education, while also developing accessible educational content for wider audiences.
