I feel privileged to join the first cohort which will facilitate and empower early-career researchers to contribute, challenge and drive forward initiatives for global change.

Bio

Fiona is a Lecturer in Structural Design at the University College London. Her principle research interests lie in numerical modelling, structural testing and the development of industry design guidance for the efficient design and analysis of steel structures. She is a graduate member of the Institution of Civil Engineers and the Institution of Structural Engineers, a STEM Ambassador and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. In all her roles she is dedicated to enhancing the broader aspects and wellbeing of higher education and engineering development, as well as promoting STEM skills to young learners. Outside of her professional life she is a keen musician and a strong advocate for harnessing the broader skill sets and unique perspectives we develop alongside our working lives.
