I am excited to network and work with like-minded people who excel in and are passionate about the work they do and are eager to work together to bring about positive change in the society, especially in the areas which are outside their immediate expertise.

Bio

Amit is an award winning Biomedical engineer and a neuroscientist primarily researching on developing rehabilitation and assistive technologies for people living with neurological disorders such as stroke, spinal injury, cerebral palsy etc.

To ensure the devices he develops satisfy the needs of the end users’, Amit works closely with patients, carers, clinicians and relevant industry. Amit’s focus is also on making the technology he develops to be low cost/affordable, especially for the use in ‘global south”, for this he collaborates extensively with researchers internationally. Through his above collaborations Amit has extensive experience of working with a range of stakeholders crossing disciplinary and geographic boundaries.

Amit is also a passionate and experienced science communicator with significant experience of engaging with the general public about his research and science in general. Amit is also a passionate believer of transformative potential of science and technology to change the society for better.
