Bio
Josie works with innovations and innovators shaping the biotechnology landscape. She has an academic background in molecular and cellular biochemistry, with a first-class degree from the University of Oxford. Josie has lab experience in molecular genetics through her Masters thesis, as well as in structural microbiology, and study and work experience in pandemic policy. She now pairs this background with legal and commercial perspectives of the bioscience ecosystem in her job as a patent attorney in the Life Sciences. Patent law is one of the key systems through which technological innovation is incentivised and rewarded, and Josie is passionate about how technologies can be responsibly and sustainably applied to tackle challenges like climate change, AMR, and food security.
