Bio
Josie is passionate about how technologies can be responsibly and sustainably leveraged to tackle challenges like climate change, AMR, and food security.
Josie is a fully qualified European and UK patent attorney. She advises biotechnology and life sciences inventors and companies and helps them obtain (or knock out) patents for inventions in fields like immunology, crop science and genetics. She has an academic background in molecular and cellular biochemistry, lab experience in molecular genetics and structural microbiology, and study and work experience in pandemic policy. In her spare time she likes to sit in a library and think about the role of innovation in science and policy. (Although sometimes she’ll go to the pub with her friends, too.)
