Bio
Samer Jaber is a a PhD candidate in Political Economy at Royal Holloway, University of London, researching the structural tendencies of capitalism in generating rent, with Egypt as his case study. As a Palestinian from Jerusalem, Samer is deeply engaged in Eastern Mediterranean politics, which has enabled him to publish opinion articles in prominent outlets, including Al Jazeera English. Additionally, Samer has worked as a researcher on international development programs, collaborating with teams to evaluate and develop visibility studies for projects funded by USAID, UNESCO, and the World Bank. Samer’s academic and professional experiences have equipped him with a unique perspective on the intersection of political economy, development, and regional politics.
