Bio
Steven Egan is a Project Manager at InterTradeIreland, leading trade programmes that strengthen cross-border economic development and foster inclusive growth across the island of Ireland. As a Social Enterprise Champion under the Department for the Economy NI’s Social Enterprise Action Plan, he also supports social enterprises to scale and trade sustainably. Beyond his role, Steven serves as a non-executive board member of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) Northern Ireland, a trustee of Sólás, and is part of the UK Young Academy’s Membership Development group.
He holds a B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. from Queen’s University Belfast, where his doctoral research examined diaspora influence on Irish partition and the formation of post-partition identities. With over three years’ experience designing leadership development programmes for third-sector leaders, Steven is committed to advancing peace and reconciliation in Northern Ireland, believing that inclusive economic growth and values-led leadership can drive lasting, systemic change.
