Bio
Steven Egan currently serves as Programs and Projects Officer for the Washington Ireland Program, a non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting peace and reconciliation on the island of Ireland.
A three-time graduate from Queen’s University Belfast (B.A., 2016; M.A., 2017; Ph.D. 2022), Steven applies his expertise in Irish history and politics to develop future leaders across Northern Ireland’s diverse political landscape. He is primarily responsible for the delivery of the WIP Academy (a leadership development program for grassroots community leaders) and since 2024 has coordinated the International Fund for Ireland’s flagship capacity building program for senior community leaders, AMBIT. His role extends beyond program management to the realm of high-impact event planning, where he has co-organised receptions for senior political figures including Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Steven is also a board member for the Chartered Management Institute in Northern Ireland and serves as the Communications Co-Lead, where he curates and monitors communication analytics to instigate more effective forms of digital communication.
