Bio

Takunda Chingonzo is a PhD researcher with the Centre for Business and Industry Transformation (CBIT) at Nottingham Trent University, where he explores data privacy and how artificial intelligence can support industry transformation. He builds bridges between research, industry, and communities to make technology useful in everyday life. Over the past decade, he has designed and delivered programmes that help entrepreneurs and organisations test ideas, build digital products, and strengthen innovation ecosystems. He founded The TechVillage Innovation Centre, running ecosystem events, training, and innovation challenges in Southern Africa that supported a network of entrepreneurs. He has consulted on innovation ecosystem research for United Nations Agencies and worked with Microsoft on digital skills initiatives across Africa, partnering with ecosystem organisations to train thousands of students and software developers. His wider interests include responsible innovation, artificial intelligence, and the data economy.
