Bio
Dr. Vodotyka is a historian specialising in Ukrainian urban and economic history, memory studies, and entrepreneurship. She is the chief editor of *City: History, Culture, Society*, an urban studies e-journal she established in 2016. A prolific non-fiction author, her works include *The History of Everyday Life* (2022) and *Success Stories* (2020). Her research also explores history’s role in the Russo-Ukrainian War and recovering Ukraine’s military memory. Dr. Vodotyka’s academic journey includes a BA, MA, and PhD in History from Ukraine’s prestigious institutions. She has earned recognition such as the Ukrainian Presidential Scholarship for young scientists.
Internationally, she held a fellowship at Georg-August University in Germany and is developing an MA program on urban development and post-war reconstruction at the Kyiv School of Economics. As a CARA fellow, she researches the memory of entrepreneurship in Ukraine, tracing its evolution across centuries. Her work bridges history, memory, and societal transformation.
