Bio

Fatemeh is an experienced computational fluid dynamics (CFD) engineer with a lifelong love of innovation. She is currently an assistant professor at the University of Warwick and dedicated her research to developing a computational platform for designing biosensors.
She received her BSc and MSc in aerospace engineering focused on CFD with first-class honours in 2016. As a result, she designed a novel device, which received a certified patent. This success encouraged her to start a company to design and program interactive robots for advertisement and STEM education in 2016. She achieved the best knowledge-based start-up award from the innovation and technology management centre in 2018. She won the prestigious “Exceptional Woman in Engineering” award and started her PhD at the University of Manchester in 2019. She enjoys supporting students and colleagues; thus, she has been a mentor for the UK Advance HE, STEM ambassador, PGR representative, and IMechE committee member. She has been awarded Best Contribution to the PGR Environment for her work.
