Bio

Neil Robinson is a Lecturer in the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Queen’s University Belfast, where he is Programme Director for postgraduate taught courses in net zero. His research focuses on clean energy technologies, decarbonisation, and the application of advanced measurement techniques in chemical engineering and materials science.
Previously a Forrest Fellow at the University of Western Australia, Neil holds an international research profile spanning hydrogen systems, porous materials, and sustainable chemical processes. His research work has been recognised through numerous national and international awards, including Western Australian Early Career Scientist of the Year and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Innovators Under 35 (Asia Pacific) list.
Alongside his research, Neil is an active advocate for early-career researchers, science communication, and policy engagement. He has led major outreach initiatives and contributes to government advisory processes on scientific research and green skills.
