Bio
Sarah-Jane Dunlop-Potts is a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering at Swansea University. Formerly, she was a Technology Transfer fellow, enabling the upscale and optimisation of printed perovskite solar photovoltaics at the same institution.
Sarah-Jane holds an Engineering Masters (MEng) in Product Design Engineering and an Engineering Doctorate (EngD) in Materials Engineering. Her current research focuses on utilising additive manufacturing techniques, such as screen-printing, to develop novel energy solutions, with a circular economy approach.
As the Current President of the South Wales Materials Association (a local society affiliated with the Institute of Materials, Minerals, and Mining), and the Regional Education Officer for the Institute of Mechanical Engineers South Wales Region Panel, Sarah-Jane is dedicated to providing opportunities for Engineers and Scientists to share their skills and ideas in a welcoming and inclusive network.
She is also a passionate, award-winning Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Ambassador with a decade of experience in organising and providing public engagement and outreach events with thousands of young people.
