“Sophie Frost is an interdisciplinary researcher whose work focuses on the relationship between digital technology, skills, leadership, and labour in the arts and cultural sectors. She is Lecturer in Creative Leadership in the Business School for the Creative Industries (BSCI) at the University for the Creative Arts (UCA) in Epsom and Honorary Research Fellow in the Institute for Digital Culture at the University for Leicester. Sophie is also an Associate for Culture24, an independent charity that helped arts and heritage people drive positive change, now part of The Audience Agency.
Sophie worked on several AHRC-funded projects including ‘One by One’, a multi-year, international initiative focused on building digital confidence in museums, and in 2018 was an AHRC Creative Economy Engagement Fellow, exploring the digital impact of Phoenix Arts Centre in Leicester. She has created three research podcasts exploring the role of technology and innovation in the cultural sector: ‘Voices of the Royal Pavilion & Museums’ (2020), ‘People. Change. Museums’ (2020-21), and ‘The Hidden Constellation’ (2022). Sophie regularly speaks and consults on research impact, digital justice, and workforce equity in the arts. She is based in Brighton, UK.
